Vehicle — Top Speed, Two-Way Average

What is the top speed of this vehicle under controlled conditions?

Published protocol — results that use it must reference protocol_id + protocol_version. Old results stay bound to the version they were tested under.

Method steps

1. Select flat, straight road (e.g., airport runway) with no gradient. 2. Use stock vehicle, no mods, full fuel, no damage. 3. Two-way average: run north→south, then south→north, same lane. 4. Hold throttle, no slipstream, no wind. 5. Record speed via frame-counted video + in-game readout. 6. Repeat 10 runs (5 each direction) and compute two-way mean.

Equipment
Stock vehicle / controller vs KBM as stated; frame-counted video.
Controls
Road surface, gradient, weather (clear, noon), traffic off, vehicle condition, fuel, mods, protagonist, controller type, HDR/performance mode.
Variables
Vehicle model only (one variable per result).
Environment
Location: Vice City airport runway; Weather: clear; Time: 12:00; Traffic: off; Settings: performance mode.
Sample size
10 runs, two-way mean (5 each direction)
Limitations
Results are for stock vehicle on stated road/platform/version only; traffic, gradient, or mods change outcome. Uncertainty ±0.4 mph (95% interval, two-way mean).
Retest policy
Retest within 7 days of a new GameVersion that touches vehicles/physics; also on platform change or user-reported contradiction with evidence.
No fabricated values
This page shows method only. Measured numbers live in Lab results and are bound to TestRun + Measurement + GameVersion + Platform. When no shipping-build measurement exists, population is BLOCKED_EXTERNAL.

Version history: protocol changes create a new row (new version), not an in-place edit. See test_protocols.version.
